-In an apartment. It has a patio, and i could also have him inside for a few hours. I'll also take him out for a walk as well. The apartment complex allows big dogs and smalls dogs. Do you think I could keep him? I don't want to get rid of him.Yes, you should be fine! As long as he is getting exposed to fresh air. You don't want to keep your dogs inside all of the time, but you really don't want him to be stuck outside either.
Just make sure that you are giving him lots of love whenever you can!
I know you don't want to give him away, because your dog is like your baby! :)
Hope this helped! Why not move in and see how you both do - or is it a question of other housing elsewhere?
If the apartment will happen anyway, move in and see if he settles in - and if not, please ask Bulldog Rescue to help you find him a safe home. These dogs get passed around over and over, because people don't realize just how costly their upkeep can be, or whattheir personalities are like - or they take them to resell them to anyone with a bunch of money. It's really unfair to the dogs.
You are stating that you will only bring him in a few hours per day? That will NOT work for a Bulldog if it gets hot where you live. They simply can NOT tolerate the heat or cold for ANY extended periods of time. If you left a Bulldog outside in 85 degree weather for two hours, it would be DEAD.
English Bulldogs make great apartment dogs. They are kinda in door dogs but do require attention, exercise etc. Keep in mine they are known to have a lot of health issues that can be costly.
Other than that they are one of my favorite breeds. I love them, they have a great personality and can be very lazy.
JULIE D is right as my grandmother used to breed them he will have to go to a more suitable environment i dont want to hurt your feelings but what you suggest will not work. sorry.
