-Iam going to take him to the vet but im scared for him what is it???? First he went to the groomer and we got him a shave and the groomer cut his skin a little bit with the blade. then bumps all over his body started to form, and yellow puss and stuff is coming out!!! please help! what should i do?? i have other dogs at my house should i keep them seperated?Sounds like infection from being shaved and also razor rash.
You should know that a labrador is a fur-bearing breed and as such should never be shaved without a medical reason and a note from the vet. Your groomer can be liable for not telling you the medical risks of shaving a fur-bearing breed. You dog could get alopecia x or black skin disease from being shaved. Also the fur protects the dog's skin from sunburn. A good groomer would absolutely refuse to shave a labrador without notice from a vet, and even then the risks to the dog are bad enough that many would still refuse.how big are the pustules?
if they're small, like pimple size, than it could be ingrown hairs, an allergic reaction to a chemical the groomer used, or points where the groomer slightly damaged your dog's skin with the buzzer. Just clean & sterilize the affected areas multiple times a day. If the pustules do not appear to be getting better in 24-48hrs take your dog to the vet.
If the pustules are larger than a permanent marker tip, clean and sterilize the affected area. take the dog to the vet ASAP.
hey this is a minor problem it's not going to spread it's razor bump anyway if want to take him to the vet it's o.k but you could buy hydrogen peroxide clean the areas that is infected or the hold body rinse the skin off and dry it with a cloth he should be o.k in no time use the peroxide till the infection and bumps are gone i hope every thing work out for you and the dog good luck
Why on earth did you have your lab shaved? He could gave developed clipper rash or an infection/hotspot from the irritation from the clippers. Try cleaning the affected area with either diluted betadine or chlorhexadine from the chemist. He may need some antibiotics from the vet to clear up any infection. Try to prevent him from scratching the area.
It sounds like an infection from the cut, you shouldn't have to keep them seperated. But if your that worried about it then you can.
The bump may be skin cancer. It might be a tumor. The yellow stuff is puss. I would take him to the vet immediatley. I hope your dog doesnt have skin cancer.
Sounds like a skin infection.
