How much would it cost to euthanize a cat - I'm in the UK?

I have a ten year old ragdoll cat. She has been suffering with skin problems for years now, she overgrooms alot, and each time we get her better through creams etc, n then she will do it again. She has been wearing a cone collar for almost a year. I can't let her out as she gets it off and overgrooms to the point of bleeding. She seems constantly on edge and stressed despite me doing everything I can to make her happy.



She isn't enjoying life, and therefore, I have made the painful decision to have her euthanized.



I am unemployed. How much would it cost to have her put humanely to sleep? I would like to take her remains home and bury her.



ThanksMy vet ALWAYS charges me. And in the last year I have had 2 cats put to sleep. They just got so old and one had lung problems and the other one's kidneys failed.

No, it is NOT cruel and you are NOT being a monster. If the quality of life of your precious cat is so poor that it's miserable all the time, I think it is the right decision. I would guess that it is probably around $15-20 USD. There would be no office visit charge. I know it's hard to come up with money for these things. Believe me, I understand. Good luck with your beloved Ragdoll. I LOVE Ragdolls.It can vary quite a bit from vet to vet. Some vets to not charge regular clients, other do. The best thing to do is contact the vet who has been treating her and ask.
Have you tried the most simple obvious thing. A change to GRAIN FREE CANNED FOOD or a specially prepared raw diet
