-I heard a bunch of rustling in the hutch. I did not seperate them since they're both only two months old. (Which was my bad)
Two of the rabbits were running around in a circle, and suddenly, the female mounted the buck- and they humped...
I am sure that it's the female. The breeder and the vet already identified the sex. Now, they're both biting at the newspaper and flipping it over.
So, I am kind of confused? If they hit sexual maturity, are they now aggressive? And why did the female mount the male?

The earliest rabbits will hit sexual maturity is 12 weeks, and 12 weeks is when you should seperate them. I would seperate them now just to be on the safe side. Sometimes, young rabbits will mount each other just to show dominace and are not actually mating. Two males would do it, as would two females. Please don't let the two mate without doing lots of research first, it is a lot of work and can cost a lot of money. Good luck!It's not fixed according to who mounts who, sometimes the male feels lazy so female does it! If the female is pregnant she would be aggressive as a result making the male tense causing them to act like this. But after a while, they will calm down and sometimes the paper irritates them so try switching to thick cardboard. Bunnies love to munch, so take a few carrots and freeze them, then cover them with peanut butter this will satisfy them and improve animal enrichment. Congrats on your soon to come baby bunnies! Rabbits multiply fast and besides that, you should separate the babies from the parents and only let them interact under human supervision.
if you saw your male rabbit freeze and flop to the floor than yes she is most likely pregnant. but i doubt it your rabbits are too young. but at 9 weeks you should seperate them because if she does get pregnant too young she may not know how to care for the babies and it would be bad for the both of them
the female didn't mount the male females are the ones who run away
