My Syrian Hamster is 18 days pregnant and hasnt had her pups yet. Is this ok? 5 STARS FOR BEST ANSWER!!!?

-she mated 18 days ago on a tuesday,it was around 9 at night when it happened so i guess its in between 17 and 18 days. Also this is her first litter and she is around 6 or 8 months old if that helps. Her nipples are showing alot and she is HUGE lol so i dont think its a phantom pregnancy.Yeah, it's okay. Most websites give "16 days" as the gestation period for a Syrian Hamster, but some list it as "16-18 days," and some say "Any time after 16 days."



Apparently, there's some wiggle room in a hamster's gestation period: yours will probably give birth within the next 24 hours, by the sound of things.Oh no. Maybe you should handle the damn animal kind of rough or something to cause it to miscarry so your house won't get overrun with those pests.
Some hamsters take longer than others to give birth. Don't worry the average is 18days anyways :P soon you will see a litter of hamsters xD Hopefully ;/
she sounds ready... maybe shes just a little late, gestation can last to 25 days or so
