How do you sex a cat?

-I've got a stray and someone who thinks it might be there who went missing in Dec 2010 i'd love to give it back to them but not if its not there, i have photos and it looks ALOT like it.

All right. Well, you can tell if it's a neutered male if the space between its penis and anus is more than an inch wide. If it's a female, the space between the genitals and anus will be less than an inch apart from each other. If you're not sure, then just bring it to the person who says they are the owner, and they'll know.

Good luck!I've noticed a male's meow and a female's meow are very much different. Besides pinning the cat down and raiding their fur, just try to listen to its meows. Males usually have a deeper and more vocal meow, while girls have a higher pitch and chirpy meow. Try finding videos online that you can listen to the difference.
A lot of the times you need a vet to look to see if it's a male or female.

Be careful when you word things.
I do not drive either - I have to get a taxi to the vets. If the person is the owner, they could reimburse the fare to you.
The space between the anus and urinary tract opening in the male is greater than in the female.
ask an expert, if neutered, it's hard to say.
It's impossible, after they're neutered.



The only thing that SOMETIMES works is putting them in a sack and throwing them in a lake. If it sinks, it was male. If it floats, it's female.



This works 25% of the time.
