-I want a baby whale!!!I think this is an interesting question and it's just a matter of time before a gene splicer can make a rat or a gerbil look like a whale and sell them to hobbyists. Even if they figured out how to make a whale to be smaller though, it would make the brain smaller as well and they would not be intelligent as a big whale is.
Until a small whale is made, you will just have to make your aquarium big enough to hold the whale, just like some state sponsored aquariums have whales.
An alternative would be to create a mini whale android which would look and feel like a whale but would be small and just imitate the whale.
Of course, if you want something bad enough, then you will have to make it happen. For one thing, the military will not want realistic mechanical automatons to be released to the general public for fear that they will be used to bomb ships. In fact there is a lot of technology that is withheld from the public because of fear mongering. There is solar cell technology that can be printed on paper that does not use silicone which was bought by the military in order to sit on it just because the same technology could be used for stealth.
So now you know. They probably can make them, but they don't due to fear.Because krill are already so tiny they'd be impossible to make smaller & then what would the mini whale eat?
Plus, if they ever made ANOTHER sequel to "Free Willy", it would lose much of it's impact featuring mini whales.
First of all how in the world would we just make a "mini whale"?
We don't just make fish certain sizes.
Fish in a proper sized aquarium are perfectly fine. A whale would never fit into a home aquarium or anything close.
People buy practically anything. The "mini whales" would be bought up and extinct soon after.
There are certain things we shouldn't meddle in and keeping whales in our homes is one of them.
So yea.. :/
Whales belong in the ocean. If they were to live in a fish tank (if they were small enough to fit, of course), too many people would be excited, buy the whale, and neglect the poor creature. This happens to Percula Clownfish thanks to Finding Nemo...
Because whales belong in the ocean not a tank ,i really do wonder sometimes where people get there questions from .
nobody would buy gold fish anymore which would be bad for the economy.
