Will my puppy calm down ?

-I have a 4 months old puppy and she is crazy !! She jumps on the furniture and when people come over she jumps on them, they're not scared or anything they love her, but will she get calmer as she gets older??Yes she will calm down, but she will need lots of training. You need to put this into practise straight away, and you need to discipline KINDLY.

Puppies are wonderful, so bouncy and full of energy, embrace this time, she may seem nutty now, but these times will give you so many happy memories in the future.

REMEMBER dogs are like children, you will only get back from them what you give out, be patient, kind and firm but fair and you will have a well rounded and happy dog.it all depends on the training :) , if you let her do bad things now, you can't tell her off for it when she's older because she won't understand,

if she jumps on visitors now, and they say ' oh hello puppy!' then she will learn to do it all the time, for the next 15 years

you need to teach her to be calm, when a visitor comes, have puppy on a lead , and let her try to jump at the visitor all she wants but can't reach , make sure the visitor pays her no attention , as soon as puppy sits, suddenly she gets treats and praise off both of you.

talking to your dog in a high pitched playful voice will also make your dog think that you are more of a friend than an owner, therefore she doesn't have to listen to you
Hahahah she won't start to settle until she's at least 2 years old, the end of puppy hood! If you don't want her jumping on the furniture, you need to discipline her for it and it would be best to start now as she is still pretty young. :)
i dont have a dog..but i heard that when you have a little puppy, you should train them, because when they grow up, the will sometimes still do the bad things that they used to do when they were a little puppy

so unless you think that jumping on your furniture and on people is a bad habit for your little puppy, tell her that it is bad, look her in the eyes and tell it her seriouly...i watched that on tv...:D you have to be serious when you tell her that, you cant smile or anything or your dog wont listen to you

hope it helped a little... (:
What kind of puppy is she? Teach her to sit stay and have her do that when company comes and as for the couch teach her the meaning of off ex: lift her off while saying "off" so she can come on but she gets off when you ask. Yes all dogs calm down when they get older.
Yeah it's usually like that till they turn one... I've had three crazy puppies and they all calmed down after they turned one....even out crazy terrier... In the mean time they do make puppy sedatives u can buy at a pet store that's usually calms them down but I'm not a big fan it's a suggestion not a recommendation
About a year old you pup will start to calm down. Right now is a great time to start training your pup not to jump up on people.

You can look into training classes as well. Keep in mind you pup is still a baby and learning.
Some breeds mature later than others. At 4 months old she is a baby. My retriever didn't calm down in the house until he was 3.

You need to start setting some boundaries now or you will very quickly have a problem on your hands.
Training will give you more control over her. Try keeping her on lead when visitors arrive so you can restrain her and keep her calm. But yes she will settle down, eventually. How long that takes depends on her breed and how much training you give her.
Yes. But the dog needs training. Seriously. This needs to stop, and can be stopped in short order.
Yes of course she will but how much she calms down depends on how you train her and what breed she is.
take em into the vet..lolz.. best regards
