-No. That would be like trying to keep a coyote or a wolf as a pet. Beavers are very wild and specialized in their environment needs, and would not do well in captivity. I don't even think zoos try to keep them. Common sense always warned me against Beavers as pets. What would you do with it? Even if you could catch it and contain it, there's a difference between a pet and a caged wild animal.
Domesticated, no. Kept as a pet, perhaps, especially if you have some wood furniture that needs some trimming.
Not unless you have a pool in your house. Water is a beaver's natural habitat.
