How to get knife fish to eat?

-i have a clown knife fish and i cant get him to eat anything other than feeder fish and i dont want to keep buying those... i got this mix of shrimp and he wont do anything but kindof look at them. what do i do to get him to eat that stuff. they say that they like to eat them.Stop feeding it feeders. Don't put any food in there. After a day or two, then put some shrimp in there. Maybe it just doesn't like it. Try feed it something else they like.The problem with feeding them things other them feeders is that, they basically only eat feeder fish. Shrimp is too small and the don't notice it as much as they notice the other fish swimming. Your clown knife is use to eating feeders, so, it will be really hard to get him use to eating something else.
You have to get them clown knives bro. That's all they eat. That's why it's called a "clown knife fish" duh.
