I FOUND A CAT OUT ON THE STREET AND ITS HAVING SEIZURES?

-we already took it to the animal hospital and they asked to put it down, we found it amongst its dead siblings, a lone survivor fighting for life. we didnt let them put it down because it still has some fight left in it so they gave us glucose so it will have energy. it is dying from hunger, it is literally only skin and bones it is 4 weeks old and hasnt eaten since it was born, it is a miracle it is alive but it is having alot of seizures.

what should we do?Did they put a feeding tube in? Best thing to do for kittens is do a feeding tube! they can give meds through the tube. They can also give the kitten saline shots under the skin to hydrate and it wont need muscles.Have it euthanized as the vet already told you to do. Repeated seizure especially at this young an age cause irreparable damage. You are doing nothing but torturing the poor thing by prolonging its death by not euthanizing it.



Also it most definably has eaten (nursed) since it was born or it would be long dead from dehydration. Mother was likely killed on the street or by a predator and the kittens have since been starving.
Awww! I have a kitten named Dasha, she showed up on my doorstep as a tiny baby and she bascially never left and decided to take her in so i have a soft-spot for strays.

Give the poor thing a lot of food, water & milk, then take it to the Hospital ASAP! They will do soomethign about it, and no metter what dont let the life slip out of him. Give the baby cat another chance at life :)

Contact the vet to find out if they think the seizure will disappear once the kittens gets healthy. Is the kitten eating and drinking normally now? How long have you had the kitten. Ask the vet all of these questions and both of you decide what is the best option. Thank you for rescuing this kitten. You have done all that you can do by following the vets directions. Keep it warm and out of drafts, try feeding it with an eye dropper with kitten formula and hold it close to your body. Best wishes.
I would take it to a different vet ASAP and ask them what to do. If they also suggest that it should be put down I would think their recommendation and ask myself if the cat is really that happy to keep living or if its suffering.
ah i dont even like pets et this makes me sad. if the cat makes it keep feeding it lots of healthy and nutritional food and keep it warm(except if its hot summer)
You get KMR kitten milk replacement and keep feeding it. NOT cow milk, that will cause explosive diarrhea.
poor thing! take it to the hospital. have them put an iv in it?
